WATCH: Justice League Labeled Terrorists in First "Gods and Monsters" Clip
Ahead of its July release date, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has unleashed the first clip from"Justice League: Gods and Monsters," the latest installment in their universe of DC animated features. The film, set in an alternate reality, features a more villainous Justice League and includes a Man-Bat/vampire instead of Batman, a Superman that was raised by General Zod and the New God Bekka in the role of Wonder Woman.
The clip below takes place in the aftermath of a Justice League mission dubbed "the embassy massacre" by the press. When the "heroes" gets called terrorists by the press and Lex Luthor begins lobbying the government to disavow the team of extreme heroes, this reality's Superman begins concocting an idea that will allow his League to ensure world peace. Of course that plan involves taking over the world -- and you'll have to watch "Justice League: Gods and Monsters" to find out if they follow through.
"Gods and Monsters" stars Benjamin Bratt as Superman, Michael C. Hall as Batman, Tamara Taylor as Wonder Woman and Jason Isaacs as Luthor. DC Animation veteran Sam Liu ("Batman: Year One," "All-Star Superman") returns as director, working from a screenplay written by Alan Burnett based on a story by Bruce Timm & Burnett.
"Justice League: Gods and Monsters" will be released by Warner Bros. Home Entertainment on Digital HD on July 14 and as a Blu-ray Combo Pack and DVD on July 28.
